I left New Zealand in 1980 immigrating to the USA in hopes of a career in top fuel drag racing.
However, I spent most of my life in a machine shop machining and rebuilding engines.
In 2002, I began my own business Stroker Engine Export specializing in American V8 engines.
Using stroker crankshafts, roller camshafts, and good aluminum performance heads, making over 500 HP became routine.

Custom-built performance engines can take several months to complete.
Using LS engines can take a few weeks.
Shipping to New Zealand takes 8 weeks.
Back in 1979, I built this altered using a methanol-injected 396 BBC.
Back then, I still had a great deal to learn about building performance engines.
Today, so many great engine parts are available that the power output of a modest street engine exceeds that of my altered back then.
I immigrated to the US in 1981 hope of being hired on to a professional drag racing team.
I was naive having no idea how to sell/promote myself.
I took no for an answer.
As a result, I spent the next 20 years reconditioning many varieties of engines.
I started Stroker Engine 23 years ago (2002) and have built most of the engines I dreamed of building.
My favorite was a BBC 765 CID with a 14-71 blower and EFI.
Procharger engines.
Max-torque engines for industrial use.
I try to provide what I am asked for.
